vestry
noun
In Jewish tradition
In the story of Jehu, the vestry is the room in Baal's temple where the robes for Baal's worshippers were stored.
Interpretation. Jehu used this to tell Baal's worshippers apart from others before he destroyed them, and the tradition sees it as a harsh end to idol worship in Israel.
