unreached

adjective (unreached)

«unreached» in the English dictionary: everyday — its meanings, how the lessons use it, and examples, each with its tree on Mova.

Everyday

  1. Not yet reached or got to: an unreached goal, an unreached place. tree →
  2. (of people) Not yet contacted or helped. tree →

In the lessons

Rare word, used for goals and targets, far places, or people a message or service has not got to. In maths, an unreached target means the total is still below the target.

Examples

  • Her goal of reading 50 books stayed unreached: she read 42. tree →
  • Some villages are still unreached by roads. tree →

Note

Takes «an». Not a common word; everyday speech says «not reached yet». In numbers: amount still needed = target − amount so far (50 − 42 = 8).
