In Jewish tradition

In Sefer Yetzirah it is the zodiac sign of the bull, linked with the letter Vav and the month Iyar.

Interpretation. The book gives each of the twelve simple letters a sign and month, and Vav is joined with Taurus, Iyar and the right kidney, according to some versions.
