In Jewish tradition

When God "talks" with people, it means speaking to them directly. In Job and Proverbs, talk can also mean empty or harmful speech, such as deceitful words or talk of mischief.

Interpretation. Tradition reads God's talking as moments of closeness between God and a person. It reads the warnings in Job and Proverbs as teaching that speech can be used for good or for wrong.
