suckling

noun

«suckling» in the English dictionary: in Jewish tradition — its meanings, how the lessons use it, and examples, each with its tree on Mova.

In Jewish tradition

In the Psalms, the praise of babies and sucklings shows that God's strength is shown through the weak. In the other verses they are victims of war and hunger.

Interpretation. Tradition reads the psalm to mean that even tiny children praise God. Rabbinic stories link it to the children at the Red Sea.
