In Jewish tradition
"Store-cities" are towns where grain and supplies are kept. "Old store" means last year's harvest. In the Prophets "laid up in store" is used for sin that is kept until the time of judgment.
Interpretation. The Israelite slaves built store-cities for Pharaoh. The promise of "old store" in Leviticus is read as a blessing of such plentiful harvests that last year's grain is still being eaten. Hosea's words are read as saying that wrongdoing is not forgotten but kept on record until the day of reckoning.
