prognosticator
noun
In Jewish tradition
Isaiah mocks the "monthly prognosticators" of Babylon, who told the future by the stars and the months. They cannot save her from the coming fall.
Interpretation. The tradition teaches that Israel should trust God and not star-reading. The prophet shows that such fortune-telling has no power.
