perversion
noun
In Jewish tradition
In Leviticus it names the forbidden act of a person lying with an animal, a confusion of the natural order. Jeremiah uses it for false, twisted speech against the LORD, spoken by the false prophet Hananiah.
Interpretation. The law counts it among the serious forbidden unions, and the tradition reads it as mixing what God kept separate. Hananiah's death is read as the punishment for false prophecy.
