opposite

«opposite» in the English dictionary: everyday and in Jewish tradition — its meanings, how the lessons use it, and examples, each with its tree on Mova.

Everyday

  2. Opposite also means facing, on the other side: the shop opposite the school. tree →
  3. In shapes, opposite sides or angles are across from each other. tree →

In the lessons

In English lessons: opposites (antonyms) like hot and cold. In science: opposite poles of magnets attract. In stories: «the opposite bank of the river».

In Jewish tradition
