In Jewish tradition
"A land flowing with milk and honey" describes the Promised Land. The rule not to boil a kid in its mother's milk is repeated three times.
Interpretation. From the kid verse the rabbis made the law never to cook or eat meat and milk together, and to keep separate dishes for them. Milk and honey are seen as signs of richness.
