In science, jellyfish are not fish: they have no bones, brain, heart or gills, and are invertebrates; they catch food with stinging tentacles. In beach safety (especially in Australia): do not touch jellyfish even on the sand, swim at patrolled beaches, and get help from a lifeguard if stung; vinegar is used for some stings. Plastic bags look like jellyfish to sea turtles. Phrases: jellyfish sting, box jellyfish.
