insatiable
adjective (insatiable)
Everyday
Always wanting more and never satisfied: an insatiable appetite; an insatiable curiosity. tree →
In the lessons
Used in stories and science (an insatiable predator) and about people who never stop wanting to know or have more. In Kipling's Just So Stories the Elephant's Child is «full of 'satiable curtiosity» — Kipling's playful way of saying insatiable curiosity: he asks so many questions that he goes to the great grey-green, greasy Limpopo River to find out what the Crocodile has for dinner.
