Note
Guests are the number of people; «each guest gets» means multiply, «guests per table» means divide (and round up for tables). Trap: remember to count the host if the question says so. Do not confuse with «guessed» (past of guess), which sounds the same.
In Jewish tradition
A person invited to a meal. In Proverbs the guests are those lured to the house of the foolish woman.
Interpretation. Welcoming guests (hachnasat orchim) is a great mitzvah, modeled on Abraham. Proverbs' "guests in the depths" warns against tempting but deadly folly.
