fillet
noun
In Jewish tradition
In the Tabernacle the fillets were silver bands that joined the tops of the court's pillars.
Interpretation. The silver of the Tabernacle came from the half-shekel that each person gave, so the rabbis saw every Israelite as holding up the sanctuary.
