In Jewish tradition
Means forced out or pushed away, like enemies driven from the land or lost animals driven off. In poems it is also used for a leaf blown by wind or a wicked person chased from the world.
Interpretation. The law of returning a lost animal teaches that one must not ignore a neighbor's loss. Job's "driven leaf" shows a person feeling weak and helpless before God.
