In Jewish tradition

Used for the "brazen altar" and its fittings. Ezekiel also uses "brazen-faced" for people who are bold and shameless and will not listen.

Interpretation. Tradition remembers the "brazen altar" as the outer altar in the courtyard, where animal offerings were burned. Ezekiel's "brazen-faced" people are read as a stubborn people whom God still sends the prophet to warn.
